Walt Kowalski is a widower who holds onto his prejudices regardless of the adjustments in his Michigan neighborhood and the world round him. Kowalski is a grumpy, tough-minded, sad previous man who cannot get together with both his children or his neighbors. He’s a Korean Conflict veteran whose prize possession is a 1972 Gran Torino he retains in mint situation. When his neighbor Thao, a younger Hmong teenager beneath strain from his gang member cousin, tries to steal his Gran Torino, Kowalski units out to reform the youth. Drawn towards his will into the lifetime of Thao’s household, Kowalski is quickly taking steps to guard them from the gangs that infest their neighborhood.
